2240. Interstellar transport MNS Isabella is ready to join the research vessel Vernier in a terra forming mission delayed for nearly a century by academic, bureaucracy, political standoffs, and economic bickering.
The passengers – citizens of diverse expertise and backgrounds – know it’s a one-way trip to Tellus Mater, a habitable planet in the Mars Trojan region.
Accident or Sabotage? Unbeknownst to the passengers and crew of the Isabella, the MNS Vernier never made it to KM 291, a small moon orbiting the chosen planet.
Betrayed. Attempts by the commander of the Vernier to reestablish communication with the multinational agency responsible for making the dream a reality fail – not because of cosmic interference but because the men and women of Project Mithra were never meant to survive.
