By far the material that has been most influenced by the Psi Side of my life is the Metatron’s Army Series. The idea for the Saga itself began with a paranormal event.
A Near Death Experience I had when I was ten.
Though some of what I experienced has commonality with other people’s NDEs, most was completely different and while I did what I could to try to understand the more esoteric aspects, it quickly became apparent there were no resources available for me to sort it out.
The biggest issue was that my experience was more scientific in nature than religious.
Some of the information presented to me was in the form of advanced mathematical equations.
Initially, focused on recovering from the ruptured blood vessel that left me temporarily blind, paralyzed and in a coma, I didn’t spend much energy on trying to unravel the more enigmatic aspects of the experience. It wasn’t until high school and then college when, focused on science and math, I began to understand.
With the help of math and science teachers and fellow students who ended up becoming engineers, including and especially a high school buddy who became an astrophysicist.
It wasn’t until recently that I came to see that even before then I was working to sort through the puzzle – using imagination.
- Plot elements were inspired by aspects of playing Barbie with a good friend long before the plot for the saga was developed
- The overall plot was inspired by thoughts and images from the NDE that surfaced while I was coloring in a Barbie coloring book
- Additional plot elements were inspired by NDE images that surfaced throughout the ensuing years. These bits of information surfaced while I was researching the science and math aspects.
In the end it was a combination of science and math along with imagination that helped me understand it all.
