I am happy to say I’ve completed the first draft of Book 12 in the Metatron’s Army Series.
It is still unnamed at this point.
It was the most difficult book in the series.
It’s also the longest.
I’m looking forward to Book 13.
Happy to put Book 12 behind me. It was the most mentally intensive of the series.
Part of the difficulty with this particular installment was the continuous stream of distractions I had to deal with.
Trying to recover from a bout of healthy eating, dealing with the paranormal events that routinely color my life.
It hasn’t been all bad. I did hit on a solution to reverse the damage from eating superfoods, and I have gained a better understanding of how I interact with celestial beings.
Basically, when their energy enters my sphere of awareness, my brain works to resolve what I’m picking up, translating it either as an image, which allows me to identify the individual, or audio, which allows me to hear what they are saying. Or singing, as the case may be.
I’m Still Here. So, I was working on book 12 last night and thinking about what I’d discovered.
That there is a serious difference in how a ghost “feels” to me – versus an angel.
It had been awhile since I’d felt ET, the ghost who’s been hanging out off and on since April, 2011. I began to wonder if I was remembering the way feels correctly.
I’d felt the angel more recently so it was fresh in my consciousness.
I’d just replaced the word hair with strands in the manuscript when I felt a hand on my right shoulder.
It felt different than a human hand but there was a signal that my brain picked up and interpreted as physical before sending the message to my conscious awareness. It happened with the same speed as it would have with a physical human hand grasping my shoulder.
I glanced up to see ET point at my computer screen. “I like that,” he said. “I like what you’re doing with this part of the story, by the way.”
I looked down at my shoulder, up at him, paid attention to how my brain was resolving the energy so that I had a solid visual.
As is often the case, he had a cigarette in his hand.
He pointed, as if I should keep going and not spend time watching him, but I was burnt out.
I’d been working on the manuscript the entire day.
I decided to take a music break. When I looked over, ET had disappeared. Tired as I was, I began to wonder if it had really happened. I launched iTunes and clicked on the Artists tab, scrolled down to ET’s music.
I hadn’t listened to any of his stuff in ages. I have never been a big fan and only have a handful of his songs.
Still wondering if I’d really just heard him praise my use of vocabulary, I clicked one of his songs and fired up Free Cell. After several minutes I realized something was off. The songs were playing in reverse order.
I clicked on the iTunes window and sure enough, the songs were playing in reverse. I couldn’t help but smile. ET was letting me know he really was there. I hadn’t imagined it.
No, I hadn’t clicked on anything to do that. It actually skipped over a song on the way down the list, then went back up, playing all songs, but in reverse order.
Musician As Ghost. As I’ve mentioned in my Spooky Fun videos, ET has messed with my iTunes lists on my computer and my portable devices since the beginning. He knows I’m not a big fan of his music. He isn’t always a fan of mine either.
He once sent my iPod flying off the couch. Guess he’s not a fan of Bjork.
In 2013, he loaded a bunch of his songs from different albums onto my iPod.
I made a point to listen to the stuff but told him I just didn’t get his music.
Agree to Disagree. In the end he accepted it.
He told me, “There’s no accounting for taste in music.”
My life – never boring.
